What is a CSA?

A CSA or (Community Supported Agriculture) is an alternative, locally-based economic model of agriculture and food distribution. A CSA also refers to a particular network or association of individuals who have pledged to support one or more local farms, with growers and consumers sharing the risks and benefits of food production.

Members or subscribers pay at the onset of the growing season for a share of the anticipated harvest; once harvesting begins, they receive weekly shares of vegetables and fruit, in a vegetable box scheme.

About Red Tractor

We are a women-owned, small, local farm based in Albuquerque’s South Valley, along the Rio Grande.

We grow a variety of fresh vegetables, herbs and flowers using organic (not yet certified) and non-pesticide growing practices. We also share with many CSA members.

Visit Us!

We participate in the Downtown Growers’ Market, supporting a strong regional foodshed and a healthy local economy by providing a venue for farmers, prepared food vendors, artists and musicians to interact with Albuquerque’s diverse communities.
